Drama King
IP woke up Thursday night with a sinus headache and stuffy nose. He whined, "I don't think I'm going to make it through the winter; I'm going to die." Hmmm... is that from Charlotte's Web or Clifford the Little Puppy? Poor guy. I tried not to laugh and then big tears flowed. I dosed him with antihistamine and ibuprofen and gave him a good back rub/scratch. Austin is the allergy capitol hands down! I think we're suffering from ragweed this week.

More Summer Photos
We visit the garden center often with Grandma. It's a great pastime, but it sure is hot. IP usually puts his hand in every fountain, visits the playhouse, and says hello to the carp. The lily water plants were blooming this visit. IP touched each pad with his finger and chanted hop hop hop hop from one pad to another.
We drove to Dallas for a Depeche Mode concert the last weekend in August, had a wild time with family and spent time with old friends. IP stayed with Nana and his cousins the whole weekend and had a blast. I can only post one photo of my sister-outlaws (oops did I say that out loud?) because the rest of the photos are not pretty and our husbands did NOT photograph well. They're funny as all get out, but not appropriate for the blog. Plus, I think everyone would kill me if I did post. Kendra looks good, but Steph and I definitely look tired. IP enjoyed a big ice cream sundae on our way home at Baum's. Yum!

Time flies
I caught up on my friends' blogs this evening and thought where has the time gone? I've been out of work for 12 weeks and haven't written much about my favorite topic, IP. Other than my three month maternity leave, this has been the longest span of time in which I have not worked. I realize that I have IP everyday now and don't feel the "need" to document our fun times. Our events/activities are now everyday occurrences and not the extra-ordinary meriting a blog post. hmmmm... my lack of blogging is not evidence of taking this precious time for granted. Rather, I am no longer guilt ridden and desperately trying to document every happy moment I have with IP. I feel somewhat content for once. Just proves that money doesn't always make one happy.
