Accepted, boogers and all

"We" interviewed at St. Paul's Lutheran School yesterday. IP was asked how old he is and asked to count to ten. He wasn't too cooperative. Then, I asked him to count in Spanish. That didn't work, so Dad held out his fingers and IP started counting. He even demonstrated (with the help of Dad) that two minus one is one. Then he picked his nose and gave Dad a "booger kiss." Yes, in front of his new teacher and principal. I interrupted and lectured him on how "yucky" that makes people feel. He stopped. phew.... Then IP announced that he has two birthdays. I had to help out and let them know he had a party at home and a little party at school. At the end of the discussion, the principal announced IP was accepted and I replied, "We're accepted? Boogers and all?" "Yes, boogers and all," she laughed. Ms. Devine let IP peek at her room. Children from afternoon daycare were there listening to story time. IP was excited by the elevated reading nook, computer and new toys. IP inspected the toilet room connected to the classroom.
"It's yellow and clean," noted IP this morning on our way to "old school." Toilet cleanliness is very important to IP these days.
Now, can we wait 2 and a half months for "new school?"
