Crowe's Nest Farm

IP's pre-school class and the kindergarten class went on a field trip to Crowe's Nest Farm on Tuesday. I went along in my new capacity as the PreK 3-4 Parent Representative (aka Homeroom Mom). Other parents came along too. A little girl from Hyde Park Baptist decided to "chat up" IP at the turtle display. During the cow milking demonstration, IP thought the cow was "peeing." He looked totally disgusted when we told him it was milk. Poor city boy. (Look at IP's expression while watching the milking in the group photo above.) We went on a hay ride and viewed lots of animals including longhorns, ostriches, a baby Shetland pony, smelly javelena pigs, a bobcat and enormous hogs.
