All I want for Christmas is a Sword and a Mercedes SLK

Last week, IP visited Santa at the mall. He waited for his turn, then hopped-skipped-danced sideways all the way to Santa and jumped into his lap. When asked what he wanted, IP replied, "a sword!" IP repeated "sword" multiple times for Santa because he didn't understand what IP was saying. IP is infatuated with Sleeping Beauty, Prince Phillip and all things sword.

Saturday, we went to the the annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll, rode on a horse drawn carriage, sat on a hay ride and listened to a high school string orchestra. IP loved the music and sat on my lap dazed as he watched the teenagers play their violins, cellos and one guitar. On the square, IP spotted a new red Mercedes SLK and proclaimed "THIS" is what he wanted for Christmas. A gentleman near us agreed and said, "me too."

Most activities at the event were complimentary. The carriage ride, hay ride, live town of Bethlehem with nativity, and the booth with "decorate your own cookies" were all free and didn't accept tips. IP grabbed his free candy cane and cookies wherever they were given. The spirit of giving was there. Now we have to teach the little race car driver about giving back!
