David Weems passed on March 27, 2009. Friday, we celebrated his life at a memorial service in Conroe, Texas. IP along with a significant number of other children participated in a balloon release at the Weems' home. Each wrote a personal message on a adhesive label and stuck it on his/her balloon. For just a few brief minutes, the balloons lifted our spirits a little. I was in awe of how strong children are in sad times. They seem to handle loss so much better than their adult counterparts. David, you will be so dearly missed.
